Brass Quintet As one can guess from the title of the piece, this was originally composed for 5 brass instruments. However, as is frequently the case for composers, I was asked by a few musicians who really liked this piece, to arrange it so that it would suit their instruments and they could then perform it. They did so in the South of France, in August 2002. The musicians were Detlev Wendt: Clarinet Andreas Medler: Trumpet Katsuaki (sorry, I lost his surname): Horn Florian Bömers: Cello Claudia Weinhold: Double-Bass

Clarinet Quintet (no English Version yet)This piece was composed for one of the most popular chamber groups: Clarinet Quintet, i.e. Clarinet plus four strings (2 Violins, Viola & Cello). The composition was specially written for a composition workshop with musicians of the London Symphony Orchestra, who also performed on this recording, in 2000.

 

That Place Between This piece was a commission by Ralf Rümker, who performed it for the first time during his final recital of his degree at the Musikhochschule, Dresden. He needed a piece for Contra-Bassoon which explains the slightly unusual instrumentation. The first performance was on 21/06/2005 at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden
